This policy explains what data is collected when you use the VClip website and the VClip app. The short version: your videos stay on your computer, and we collect as little as possible.

2. Your videos

Video processing and exporting happen entirely on your computer. VClip does not upload your video files to our servers, and we never see your footage.

To analyze your video, VClip sends the necessary text content (such as the transcript) to the AI provider configured through your own OpenRouter API key. That request is made by your app, with your key, on your behalf.

3. Purchases

When you buy VClip, our payment processor handles the transaction and shares with us the details needed to deliver your purchase, such as your email address and purchase confirmation.

We do not store your card details. Card information goes directly to the payment processor.

4. Website analytics

This website uses Vercel Analytics, which collects anonymous, aggregated visit data (such as page views and approximate referrers) without using cookies to identify you personally.

5. Third parties we rely on

OpenRouter (and the AI model providers behind it) — receives the transcript text you choose to analyze, billed to your own account.

Our payment processor — handles your one-time purchase.

Vercel — hosts this website and provides the anonymous analytics described above.

We do not sell your data, and we do not run ads.

6. Data retention

We keep purchase records for accounting and delivery purposes. Since your videos and clips never leave your computer, deleting VClip removes that data completely.

If you want your purchase-related data deleted, contact us and we will take care of it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
